Location: Centred on the small boat harbour of St Helens in North Geelong, the Geelong Trailable Yacht Club caters for trailable yacht owners from all over Victoria. The Location tab shows details of the location of St Helens.
The Club provides members with racing, cruising and social activities. Technical information about sailing in general, and trailable yachts in particular, is provided through educational activities The Club promotes safe boating .
Racing: GTYC conducts racing throughout the year, usually on the first and third Sunday of each month. As well as regular Club racing special open events attract boats from all over the State. Results for races are calculated on both Class Basic Handicaps (CBH) and Club handicaps - based on past performances in Club races. Refer to the Racing and Calendar tabs for more information.
Cruising: The Club also caters for members who wish to cruise with their boats. Weekend cruises to local cruising grounds are conducted throughout the year, as well as more extensive cruises to locations such as the Gippsland Lakes, Williamstown and Lake Macquarie. Social: As well as the racing and cruising activities many social events are conducted through the year. Refer to the Calendar tab for details.
